Womp. The database was corrupted and I had to use a backup from 2018 (in 2021). Sorry for any data loss. A server update also broke a bunch of the site (I've got it mostly working, but some things may still be busted). Another unrelated server update also busted the way my wii homebrew connected to the site (so none of them can go online anymore and they may never change). Have I mentioned that I've had problems with this cheap web host?
You can check out whatever new projects I have in the works over on twitter at @BoringDevKate.

But anyways, from now on, i'll toss out some updates that anyone would know what and what's happening. (Since here is nothing to do in this site, and left alone all bored, this should be a little useful*.)
(*And I meant the updates.)
The End of WFC is Near...
We all know that the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service will obviously die, or will be no longer functional, to make sense. But, will it survive? Certain Wii Hackers had stated that they could create an online server, which it could be called "Fake WFC functional server", so that anybody could play online normally without Nintendo's WFC server. Hopes are on the hackers to make this happen. There are doubts that it is possible

Comment posted by Android at 2014-05-03 00:32:41 (11 years ago)Will not happen. Sorry to but you down, but its pretty impossible. I already sold my Wii anyways, and I still don't have a WiiU. So...im wiiless... :(

Comment posted by emc at 2014-05-03 11:11:19 (11 years ago)Yea, but I can't say that it is impossible, because there are some possibilities that creating a new server could be inventable.

Comment posted by Android at 2014-05-03 13:28:17 (11 years ago)Yes, but you will need the right equipment and patience which they ought to not have one of those (the $$$ part). I think they will figure out how costly this will be and eventually give up on the project and then migrate onto the WiiU (which is still hack-able people! Why are you leaving yourselves in the dust?!)

Comment posted by skittlefuck at 2014-05-03 15:25:34 (11 years ago)Yeah, but you can't do much if you hack your WiiU, the only thing you can turn it into is a fancy GBA and SNES emu. You can't play "backups"

Comment posted by emc at 2014-05-03 15:47:39 (11 years ago)Hm. Equipment is sometimes not necessary. When you think of servers, they aren't big gigantic machines installed on a large computer room. Most servers are made via computer. I could be wrong but meh. That's why there are hackers and crackers: to make things right and possible, precautions and time must be used and be taken

Comment posted by emc at 2014-05-03 15:47:50 (11 years ago)... and be taken seriously.

Comment posted by Android at 2014-05-03 16:18:41 (11 years ago)@emc We will see.
@TLM Yes but without WFC none of that is really possible.

Comment posted by Unown at 2014-06-21 15:02:38 (11 years ago)I've heard a lot about a substitute for Nintendo WFC. I've seen a few hacks similar to those available in the Brawl Vault. I know what you're talking about now.
